Shift: 48-hour weeks, based on a 25-week rolling contract.

About the Role

As a Class 2 Driver, you will:

• Deliver bakery products on behalf of customers from Southampton.
• Deliver these products to a range of retail outlets, wholesale and convenience stores across the South of England.
• Plan routes on a day-to-day basis.
• Load and unload vehicles.
• Handle tail lift and manual handling of bread deliveries.
• Perform comprehensive daily vehicle safety checks using your company phone to maintain top-notch vehicle safety and reliability.
• Stay in regular communication with the transport team to provide updates on your progress and ensure our customers' expectations are met.
• Participate in regular training sessions to stay ahead with the latest industry standards and best practices.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

• Must hold a UK Class 1 CE Licence or Class 2 C Licence.
• Current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
• Experience of delivering loads directly to client sites is advantageous.
• Passionate about providing excellent customer service.
• Ability to work to deadlines.
• Confident, polite, and a team player.
• Good geographical knowledge.
• Fit, flexible, hardworking, and self-motivated.
