Job summary

Fifth Wheel Recruitment are seeking a Class 2 Driver in Bedford to join our client, a wholesale drinks distributor. This PAYE position offers day shifts, Monday to Friday, with a 12-week qualifying period leading to permanent placement.

You will perform multi-drop deliveries to pubs and restaurants in a two-person team, with manual handling and strict adherence to site safety. UK DCPC and Digi-tacho cards required; drivers with up to 6 points considered.

Qualifications

• Must have a Class 2 driving licence.
• UK DCPC card and a valid Digi-tacho card.
• Up to 6 points on licence; no DD, TT, DR, CD, IN endorsements.

Job Title: Class 2 Driver

Pay Rates: £17.85 to £20.00 p/h (£17.85 basic + £2.15 holiday pay = £20.00p/h)

Shifts: Monday to Friday - Day Shifts (07:00 - 17:00)

Driver Type: Class 2 - PAYE only

Experience: 3 months Class 2 experience required

Contract: Temp to Perm

HGV Class 2 Driver - The role & responsibilities:

• Multi-drop deliveries to pubs, restaurants and hospitality venues

• All applicants are expected to complete work to a high standard while following site safety procedures. You will be driving a clean, modern vehicle and our client is offering permanent placements after a 12 week qualifying period.

About you:

You must have your Class 2 driving licence. You must also have your UK DCPC card and a valid Digi-tacho card. Our client may accept up to 6 points on your licence, but we can not accept DD, TT, DR, CD, IN endorsements. As a professional Driver, you will be up to date with the WTD regulations.

You will be a UK resident and will be able to travel to and from the site for your shift. We are unable to assist with VISA applications and cannot assist with relocation.
