Job Opportunity: Class 2 Driver

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Class 2 Driver to join our well-established client based in Renfrew and the city centre.

Rates of Pay

Day-to-Day Duties

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• SOME HANDBALL REQUIRED
• Operate and drive various Class 2 vehicles safely to and from delivery locations
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Load and secure cargo properly
• Adhere to traffic laws and regulations
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers
• Report vehicle defects or maintenance needs
• Assist with loading and unloading cargo as needed

Candidate Requirements

• Valid UK Category C Licence
• No more than six penalty points for minor infringements; no major endorsement codes
• Valid UK CPC Card and UK Digi Card
• Responsibility for delivering kitchen and bedroom products to customers' homes with Driver’s Mate assistance
• Load and unload vehicle with Driver's Mate
• Conduct pre- and post-journey checks
• Ensure timely delivery to customers
• Follow delivery routes and adhere to schedules
• Punctuality and excellent time management skills
• Understanding of traffic laws and regulations
• Experience with commercial vehicles or delivering large/bulky goods is beneficial
• Good customer service skills for a customer-facing role
• Previous multi-drop delivery experience is advantageous

Training

• Driver's assessment required
• Paid training with experienced crew after successful assessment
