Job summary

Pioneer Selection is seeking an experienced Class 2 Driver for a Purfleet-based role. This full-time position offers a 4 on 4 off days pattern with flexibility to cover night shifts when required and involves tanker operations carrying hazardous materials under ADR rules.

The role requires a valid Class 2 licence, ADR knowledge (Class 8 & 9) and a Driver CPC, with duties spanning deliveries, documentation, safety checks and professional customer interactions.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Operating Class 2 HGV tanker vehicles safely and professionally.

• Carrying out daily vehicle safety checks and reporting defects immediately.

Job Role of the Class 2 Driver:

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Class 2 Driver to join a well-established business based in Purfleet. This is a permanent opportunity working a 4 on 4 off days shift pattern, although candidates must be flexible and willing to cover night shifts when required by the business.

The successful Class 2 Driver will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of hazardous materials using tanker vehicles. Due to the nature of the operation, previous tanker driving experience and strong Dangerous Goods / ADR knowledge are essential.

You will be responsible for carrying out all deliveries safely and in accordance with ADR regulations, company procedures and current transport legislation. The role requires a professional driver who takes safety seriously and is comfortable working within a highly regulated environment.

Sector - Hazardous Materials / Tanker Operations

• Valid Class 2 / Category C Driving Licence.
• Dangerous Goods / ADR experience and knowledge - Class 8 & Class 9 minimum required.
• Previous tanker driving experience - essential.
• Valid Driver CPC Qualification - essential.
• Candidates must be willing and able to work nights when required.

Requirements for the Class 2 Driver:
