Job summary

LWC Drinks is seeking a Class 2 Driver to deliver products to customers in the designated area and to maintain and present a clean, safe vehicle. You will provide excellent customer service and ensure accurate loading and documentation for each delivery.

You will also assist in warehouse duties when needed, complete delivery paperwork, and follow strict health and safety procedures on every shift.

Responsibilities

• Deliver products to customers within a specific area, ensuring safe handling and presentation.
• Complete delivery notes, return sheets and collect payments.
• Follow delivery notes for special requests and routing.
• Maintain confidentiality of premises and operational information.
• Check run sheets and orders for deliveries and routing.
• Plan routes based on schedule and customer requirements.
• Inform customers of stock shortages or issues with deliveries.
• Return empty cases and gas bottles and store them correctly.
• Adhere to health and safety procedures.
• Submit all required checks to the distribution manager.
• Assist in warehouse duties when required.
• Present a neat appearance in LWC Drinks uniform.

Class 2 Driver

Reports to: Warehouse & Distribution Manager

Depot: LWC Aylesbury

Overview

To deliver products to customers within a specific area in a safe and friendly manner. Responsible for the care and upkeep of your designated vehicle. To provide excellent customer service standards to every customer.

Main Duties

• Responsible for preparing the vehicle by conducting operator maintenance, ensuring all products for a delivery are correct and that they have been loaded onto the vehicle correctly and safely.
• Responsible for completing delivery notes, return sheets and collecting payments.
• Execute any special requests from customers by picking up and delivering items as directed on the delivery note.
• Maintain customer confidence by keeping information strictly confidential regarding premises security and operational information.
• Responsible for checking the run sheets and picked orders for your deliveries and routing.
• To plan your route and requirements for the drop by studying the schedule and any requests by the customer that are on the delivery note.
• Make customers aware of any stock shortages or problems with their delivery.
• Responsible for returning all empty cases and gas bottles, and ensuring that they are correctly stored in the empties yard and unloaded in the correct manner.
• Ensure that correct health and safety procedures are adhered to.
• To complete all required checks and ensure that check sheets are passed to the distribution manager.
• The ability to help in the warehouse when required.
• To look presentable in the correct LWC Drinks uniform at all times.
• Please note, physical and manual handling is involved.
