Job description

Are you an experienced Class 2 Driver looking for a new challenge? If so, this role could be for you!

Working alongside our dispatch and transport teams, you will be driving a modern vehicle for a professional organisation.

Main Responsibilities of a Class 2 Driver include:

• Operating a Class 2 vehicle for multi-drop deliveries from our Worley Depot of both carcass and boxed meat products.
• Assisting in the loading process, ensuring it is done accurately and securely.
• Carrying out pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness and regulatory compliance.
• Completing all required paperwork accurately.
• Promptly reporting any vehicle issues.
• Ensuring full compliance with transport legislation.
• Communicating effectively with dispatchers and colleagues regarding delays or issues.
• Upholding high standards of customer service.

Essential requirements include:

• A full UK driving licence held for at least 2 years.
• Class 2 licence with a minimum of 6 months' experience.
• Flexibility regarding working hours.
• Driver CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph card.
• Good understanding of driver regulations and working directives.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to handle manual handling roles.
• Good communication skills.
• Experience in a fast-paced transport environment.
• Reliability and flexibility with working hours.
• Good literacy, timekeeping, and attendance.
