Talented People in Crawley is seeking a Class 2 Collection & Delivery Driver for a full-time, permanent role. You will handle multi-drop deliveries to commercial customers on weekday routes, with paid overtime and a focus on safety and customer service.

The position offers a competitive £35,362 salary per year plus overtime, 28 days' annual leave rising with service, Driver CPC training, modern vehicles and a driver academy for progression.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 2 (Category C) driving licence.

Job Description

We are currently recruiting experienced and newly qualified Class 2 Collection & Delivery Drivers for a busy logistics operation based in Crawley.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established transport operation, offering a competitive basic salary, regular weekday work, paid overtime and opportunities for career progression.

You will be responsible for completing multi-drop collections and deliveries, providing a professional service to customers whilst ensuring all work is carried out safely and efficiently.

The Role

As a Class 2 Collection & Delivery Driver, your responsibilities will include:

• Completing multi-drop collections and deliveries to commercial customers
• Following planned routes and meeting delivery schedules
• Ensuring all paperwork and Proof of Delivery (POD) documentation is completed accurately
• Carrying out daily vehicle safety checks and reporting defects
• Complying with drivers' hours regulations, tachograph requirements and the Road Transport Directive
• Ensuring the vehicle, load and goods are secure at all times
• Maintaining high standards of health and safety
• Delivering excellent customer service at every collection and delivery point

Requirements

• A valid Category C (Class 2) driving licence
• A valid Driver CPC qualification
• A valid Digital Tachograph Card
• A good understanding of drivers' hours and transport legislation
• Strong communication skills and a professional attitude
• The ability to work independently, manage your workload and meet deadlines
• A commitment to safe driving and excellent customer service

Multi-drop experience is preferred but not essential, and applications from newly qualified drivers will be considered.
