Job summary

Manpower is seeking a dedicated Class 2 (C) driver to operate a rigid lorry on local and regional routes from Edinburgh. You will perform vehicle checks, manage loading and secure goods, and follow planned routes to ensure timely deliveries.

The role requires a valid Class 2 licence, Driver CPC, and knowledge of tachograph rules, with emphasis on safety and professional standards within a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid UK Class 2 (Category C) driving licence.
• Driver CPC qualification is required.
• Knowledge of digital tachograph rules and compliance.
• Strong understanding of UK road safety and safe driving practices.
• Experience driving HGV vehicles in multi-drop/delivery settings preferred.
• Ability to perform vehicle walkaround checks and report defects.
• Good route planning and navigation skills to meet delivery schedules.

Responsibilities

• Operate a Class 2 (C) vehicle safely and efficiently.

• Ensure goods are loaded and secured to prevent transit damage.

• Adhere to health and safety procedures during loading/unloading.
• Drivers mate will be provided.
