Job summary

The Best Connection is currently recruiting for an experienced Class 2 Driver to join one of our clients on a multi-drop delivery operation in Cumbria. Immediate Start.

Duties include driving a large rigid goods vehicle, completing multi-drop deliveries, loading/unloading, and carrying out pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, with accurate paperwork and POD signatures. You may work with a driver’s mate and use tail-lift vehicles as required, following routes and client instructions.

Qualifications

• Requires valid Class 2 (Category C) Licence and CPC
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card
• Good customer service skills
• Ability to perform manual handling

Responsibilities

• Drive a large rigid goods vehicle safely and professionally.
• Complete multi-drop deliveries to various destinations.
• Load and unload goods when required.
• Conduct pre- and post-use vehicle inspections.
• Ensure all paperwork and delivery documentation is completed accurately.
• Obtain customer signatures on Proof of Delivery (POD) notes.
• Work with a driver's mate when delivering to residential properties.
• Operate tail lifts where required.
• Follow planned routes and client instructions.

Working alongside a driver's mate when delivering retail goods to residential properties.

Operating vehicles fitted with tail lifts where required.

Following planned routes, schedules, and client instructions.
