Job summary

Ignition Driver Recruitment are recruiting for a Class 2 Driver in Rochdale. You will deliver totes to stores on planned routes, performing daily vehicle checks and maintaining paperwork. Shifts are 4 on/4 off, 02:00–06:00 starts, with 4–8 drops daily and professional representation at client sites.

Applicants must hold a Class 2 licence, UK DCPC and Digi-tacho card, with up to 6 points accepted and no DD/TT/DR/CD/IN endorsements. UK resident with right to work required.

Qualifications

• Class 2 Licence required and minimum 12 months of commercial driving experience.
• UK DCPC card and a valid Digi-tacho card required.
• Licence may have up to 6 points; DD, TT, DR, CD, IN endorsements not accepted.
• UK resident with right to work documentation.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate Class 2 vehicles on planned routes.
• Conduct daily vehicle checks and complete relevant paperwork.
• Ensure timely and accurate deliveries to stores.
• 4 to 8 drops per day.
• Move totes to rear of truck for unloading by store staff.
• Follow driving laws and company procedures.
• Represent the company professionally at client sites.

Pay Rates: £16.16 to £19.29 p/h

Shifts: 4 on 4 off - AM Starts (02:00 - 06:00)

Experience: Minimum 12 Months on Class 2 essential

About you / Qualifications

• You must have your Class 2 Driving Licence and at least 12 months experience driving commercially.
• You must also have your UK DCPC card and a valid Digi-tacho card.
• Our client may accept up to 6 points on your licence, but we cannot accept DD, TT, DR, CD, IN endorsements.

As a professional Driver, you will be up to date with the WTD regulations and maintain your own compliance requirements.

You must be a UK resident (we are unable to assist people with VISAs or relocation) and have the relevant Right To Work documentation.
