Job description

Class 2 Driver
Reports to: Warehouse & Distribution Manager
Depot: LWC Aylesbury

Overview:

To deliver products to customers within a specific area in a safe and friendly manner. Responsible for the care and upkeep of your designated vehicle. To provide excellent customer service standards to every customer.

Main Duties:
  1. Prepare the vehicle by conducting operator maintenance, ensuring all products for delivery are correct and loaded safely.
  2. Complete delivery notes, return sheets, and collect payments.
  3. Execute special requests from customers by picking up and delivering items as directed on the delivery note.
  4. Maintain customer confidence by keeping information strictly confidential regarding premise security and operational information.
  5. Check run sheets, picked orders, and routing.
  6. Plan routes and requirements for each drop by studying schedules and customer requests.
  7. Inform customers of stock shortages or delivery issues.
  8. Return all empty cases and gas bottles, ensuring proper storage and unloading.
  9. Adhere to health and safety procedures.
  10. Complete checks and pass check sheets to the distribution manager.
  11. Assist in the warehouse when required.
  12. Maintain a professional appearance in the LWC Drinks uniform.
  13. Perform physical and manual handling tasks.
Knowledge and Experience:
  • Good safety practices and driving habits.
  • Correct driving license for the vehicle.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
The Role:
  • 5 days per week, including 1 weekend day.
  • 45 hours per week.
  • £2,000 discretionary bonus based on KPIs.
