Andy File Associates Limited is working as a Recruitment Agency on behalf of our client with regards this temporary position with an opportunity of becoming permanent.

Job Title: Class 2 Delivery Driver
Location: Business based in Kent
Reporting To: Logistics Supervisor

Job Overview:
We are seeking a professional and customer-focused Class 2 Delivery Driver to join our logistics team. This role involves delivering products to schools, leisure centres, and other venues, ensuring a premium "white glove" delivery service. You will be responsible for delivering products to the customer's chosen location, setting them up as required, and removing packaging. This role requires exceptional customer service skills, a proactive approach, and the ability to work efficiently with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

• Safely operate a Class truck to transport goods to customer locations
• Provide a white glove delivery service, ensuring products are placed, assembled, and set up as required
• Handle customer interactions professionally and courteously, addressing any queries or concerns
• Perform basic installation or setup of delivered products
• Remove and dispose of all packaging responsibly
• Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies
• Maintain accurate delivery records and ensure timely reporting of any delivery issues
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness
• Undertake occasional overnight stays as part of delivery schedules

Requirements:

• Valid Class 2 (Category C) driving licence with a clean driving record
• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
• Previous experience in a similar delivery role preferred
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to handle goods with care and attention to detail
• Comfortable with manual handling and basic product assembly
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including overnight stays when required
• DBS check required due to deliveries to schools and other sensitive locations

Job Type: Full-Time

Hours: 45 hours per week

• Monday to Thursday: 9.5 hours per day
• Friday: 7 hours
• You will be employed by our client on a temporary basis to begin with, with a view to becoming permanent

Salary & Benefits:

• Hourly Rate: £14.91
• Monthly pay
• Annual Salary: £34,900
• For overnight stays, this will be in a fully equipped vehicle to accommodate this, a flat fee of £28.98 will be paid for all overnight stays
• Package: 20 days holiday plus stats - rises to 25 days plus stats after 3 years - Pro-Rata while temporary
• Pension scheme 3% contributions after 3 months
• A temporary role to begin with the company not via the agency
