The Recipe

• You will receive a 6-week induction and support from in-house driver training teams.
• You should be an early riser; your shift will typically start around 3.30am, with some variation, allowing your afternoons to be free.
• You’ll enjoy autonomy, managing delivery notes (or electronic devices), accurately picking orders, loading your vehicle with bakery products.
• Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge and understanding of transport legislation (Driver Hours, Working Time Directive, Highway Code) are essential for safety and compliance.
• Your route will be loaded into your onboard computer, and then you’ll be on your way.
• Delivering to multiple customers daily, you’ll provide quality service, develop strong relationships, and handle difficult conversations professionally, acting as an ambassador for our brand and values.
• You will work a rotating 5-day pattern, including weekends, averaging 43 hours per week, with some weeks potentially less, helping you plan your life.

At Warburtons, you’re more than a driver! You’ll load your vehicle yourself, ensuring accuracy and completeness of orders, and be hands-on with your deliveries, supporting our goal of keeping the nation’s eggs in soldiers.

About Us

Our newly built distribution centre in Banbury, located at the junction of the M40, is the largest purpose-built site for Warburtons, covering 85,000 sq ft, with nearly 200 staff working various shifts.

We deliver over 4 million items every four weeks, including 85,000 stacks of bread via cross-docking, equivalent to hundreds of trailers, and we’re still growing!
