Position Overview:

The role of a Class 1 Casual Tramper Driver involves:

1. Collecting and delivering customer products on a curtain-sided trailer, including load security with ratchet straps.
2. Delivering loads across the UK, including full and groupage loads.
3. Using a handheld PDA to complete paperwork.
4. Interacting with customers face-to-face and over the phone.
5. Maintaining regular contact with the transport team for updates and managing customer expectations.
6. Overnight stays may be required.
7. Traveling to different depots, with expenses paid.
8. Attending regular training sessions.

Essential Skills and Qualifications:

1. UK Class 1 (CE) Driving Licence.
2. Current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
3. Experience delivering loads directly to client sites (advantageous).
4. Strong commitment to excellent customer service.
5. Ability to work to deadlines.
6. Confident, polite, and a team player.
7. Good geographical knowledge.
8. Physically fit, flexible, hardworking, and self-motivated, due to role demands.
