Job summary

Pollock (Scotrans) Ltd is recruiting a Class 1 Tramper to undertake nationwide palletised deliveries and collections using curtain-side trailers, staying away from home four nights a week with an extra £100 weekly for tramping. You will load securely and ensure compliance with safety standards.

You must hold a UK Class 1 CE Licence, DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card, and be customer‑focussed, reliable and a team player.

About the Role

As a Class 1 Tramper, you will:

• Be willing to stay away from home for four nights per week, with an additional £100 paid weekly for tramping.
• Complete a range of nationwide deliveries and collections using curtain-side trailers, transporting palletised goods across multiple contracts.
• Ensure all goods are loaded correctly and securely restrained to prevent movement or damage, using straps, nets, and other suitable securing equipment.
• Carry out comprehensive daily vehicle safety checks using a company-issued phone to maintain high standards of vehicle safety and reliability.
• Maintain regular communication with the transport team to provide progress updates and ensure customer expectations are consistently met.

Participate in regular training sessions to remain up to date with the latest industry standards and best practices.

Competitive Salary:

Guaranteed minimum weekly pay: £803.81, earn up to £21.44 per hour on Saturday, Sundays and Bank Holidays. PLUS for all hours worked between 21:00hrs & 04:00hrs, you will receive an additional £2.75 per hour.
