Position of Class 1 Driver

This is a permanent full-time position covering holiday and sickness.

1. Collecting and delivering customers' products on a curtain-sided trailer, including load security using ratchet straps.
2. Delivering loads throughout the UK, both full and groupage loads.
3. Using a handheld PDA to complete paperwork.
4. Dealing with customers face-to-face and over the phone.
5. Keeping in regular contact with the transport team for updates and managing customer expectations.
6. Attending regular training sessions.
7. A flexible approach is required as the position involves covering both day and night shifts.
8. The role may also involve tramping, requiring overnight stays.

Essential Skills for Class 1 Driver

• Must hold a UK Class 1 CE Licence.
• Hold a current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
• Be passionate about providing excellent customer service.
• Ability to work to deadlines.

• Good geographical knowledge.
