Pure Staff are recruiting for a Class 1 Night Driver based around Stoke-on-Trent. This is long-term ongoing work with potential for permanent employment, suitable for experienced drivers seeking reliable night shifts.

You will complete 1–3 drops per shift, operate a UK Class 1 vehicle safely, and handle paperwork with an electronic POD device. Rolled-up holiday pay option available.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Deliver to business customers across the region.

Pay Rates

Standard PAYE Rates

• Monday to Friday: £18.00 per hour
• Saturday: £19.00 per hour
• Sunday / Bank Holiday: £20.00 per hour

PAYE with Rolled-Up Holiday Pay

• Monday to Friday: £20.17 per hour
• Saturday: £21.29 per hour
• Sunday / Bank Holiday: £22.41 per hour

About the Role

Pure Staff are currently recruiting for a Class 1 Night Driver on behalf of a well-established distribution business based in the Stoke-on-Trent area. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional Class 1 Night Driver seeking ongoing, long-term work with a reputable employer that values its drivers and offers genuine opportunities for permanent employment. The successful Class 1 Night Driver will be working within the logistics and distribution industry, delivering goods to businesses throughout the region while maintaining high standards of customer service and compliance.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Complete deliveries to business customers across the region
• Carry out between 1 and 3 drops per shift
• Safely operate a Class 1 vehicle in line with all regulations
• Assist with unloading and handball duties where required
• Complete delivery paperwork accurately using an electronic POD device
• Conduct daily vehicle checks and report any defects
• Ensure all deliveries are completed safely and efficiently
• Maintain excellent levels of customer service at delivery locations

Shift Pattern

• Predominantly Monday to Friday work
• Ongoing, long-term assignments available
• Flexible start times available between 4am and 6am
• Shift lengths typically between 8 and 12 hours
• Weekend shifts may be available
• Regular work with consistent scheduling

Requirements

• Valid Class 1 (Category C+E) Driving Licence
• Valid Driver CPC qualification
• Digital Tachograph Card
• Good understanding of drivers' hours and working time regulations
• Ability to complete paperwork accurately
• Comfortable carrying out manual handling and unloading duties when required
• Reliable and professional approach to work
