Job summary

Pollock Scotrans Ltd is seeking a Class 1 Night Driver to operate curtain sider trailers from Birtley on a 4on 4off night shift, delivering palletised goods locally and ensuring timely deliveries.

You will load and secure cargo with straps and nets, perform daily vehicle safety checks, stay in contact with the transport team, and participate in regular training to stay compliant with industry standards.

Class 1 Night Driver Location : Birtley Shift : 4on 4off, Nights

About the Role

As a Class 1 Driver, you will: Use a curtain sider trailer to take on a diverse range of tasks, including local palletised deliveries, ensuring smooth and timely deliveries. Ensure goods are loaded and secured correctly to prevent shifting or damage. Use straps, nets, and other securing devices as needed. Perform comprehensive daily vehicle safety checks using your company phone to maintain top-notch vehicle safety and reliability. Stay in regular communication with the transport team to provide updates on your progress and ensure our customers' expectations are met. Participate in regular training sessions to stay ahead with the latest industry standards and best practices.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

Competitive Salary : £17.42ph PLUS for all hours worked between 21:00hrs & 04:00hrs, you will receive an additional £2.75 per hour.

Shift Hours : 18:00hrs start time, working on a 4on 4off rota basis.
