Job summary

The Co-op, Biggleswade Distribution Centre, is hiring LGV drivers (Class 1) to join our team. This permanent, full-time role offers 40 hours per week over five days with weekend shifts. A 40-hour week is standard, with two in three weekends included.

You will deliver stock to stores, follow safety protocols, and represent Co-op on the road. We offer a competitive salary (£19.77–£24.37/hr) plus allowances and benefits, plus career progression and a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• C&E category (Class 1) LGV licence.
• Previous driving experience; multi-drop preferred.
• Strong service skills and a positive road presence.
• Able to work well with Co-op customers and colleagues.
• Excellent organisation and time management.

Responsibilities

• Deliver stock from the DC to stores safely and cost-effectively.
• Drive safely, obeying traffic rules and Co-op procedures.
• Positively represent Co-op on the road at all times.
• Treat other road users and pedestrians with respect.
• Provide efficient delivery service and assist with offloading.
• Deliver stock safely in all weather conditions.
