Job summary

The Best Connection Gloucester is actively recruiting an experienced Class 1 Driver (C+E) to join our client base in the Gloucester area. This is a long-term, ongoing role with reliable shifts and competitive pay.

HGV Class 1 drivers are offered immediate starts, clean vehicles, and year-round regular work. Opportunities for permanent employment and a modern, well-maintained fleet accompany a friendly transport team.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1 (C+E) Licence.
• Driver CPC Qualification Card.
• Digital Tachograph Card.
• Minimum 2 years' HGV Class 1 driving experience.
• Must be 25 years of age or older for insurance purposes.
• Good knowledge of UK driving laws and regulations.
• Reliable and professional attitude.
• No more than 6 points for minor offences (desirable).

Responsibilities

• General haulage work across the UK.
• Multi-drop and trunking deliveries.
• Collections and deliveries to distribution centres, warehouses and commercial sites.
• Vehicle safety checks and defect reporting.
• Compliance with Drivers' Hours and Working Time Directive regulations.
