Job Description:

The Role

• This role involves primarily working on motorways, with 90% of the work dedicated to this task.
• Be responsible for picking up loads from the plant and delivering them to the designated sites promptly and efficiently.
• Transporting materials and equipment for central reservation repairs to designated sites, predominantly on motorways.
• Operating the Hiab crane efficiently and safely.
• Adhering to all relevant safety regulations and protocols.
• Occasionally working night shifts as required by project demands.
• Ensuring timely delivery of materials to meet project deadlines.

Requirements

• Full UK driving licence with Class 2 entitlement (category C) essential, but Class 1 licence (category C+E) is preferred.
• Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
• Have a minimum of 2 years proven experience driving the relevant vehicle.
• Have a full understanding of WTD legislation.
• Proven experience as a Hiab Driver, preferably with motorway repair experience.
• Valid Hiab license, with ALLMI or NPORS accreditations only.
• Ability to work away from home, staying in paid hotel accommodation (shared room) or tramping and being accustomed to nights out in the cab.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
