Job summary

Tomlin Personnel Ltd is seeking an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver for night trunking between depots for a long-established logistics client in Lincoln, Lincolnshire. You will handle box trailers, RDC trailer swaps, and timed deliveries while coordinating closely with the transport team.

Various start times from 16:00 onwards are available; Monday to Friday work with ongoing shifts year‑round, with weekend shifts possible if required.

Qualifications

• HGV Class 1 Licence
• CPC for Class 1
• Digi card for Class 1

Responsibilities

• Drive HGV Class 1, box trailers and RDC trailer swaps.
• No handballing; perform timed deliveries and maintain communications with the transport team.
• Ensure vehicle is kept clean and in good condition.

Our Customer

Our long established logistics client based Lincoln Lincolnshire has an urgent requirement for HGV Class 1 Drivers to join their team on a regular ongoing basis.

They have won a new contract and require Class 1 Drivers, weekly, Monday to Friday, ongoing all year round. Weekend shifts also available if required as well.

Job Description.

Work involves Class 1 HGV Driving work, box trailors, RDC Trailor swaps, no handballing, timed deliveries, so no messing around on the shifts, clear communcation is requried with the transport team as well.

Various start times available ranging from 1600pm onwards.

Licence requirements:

• HGV Class 1 Licence
• Up to date CPC for your Class 1
• Up to date Digi card for your Class 1

You Must:

• Have a positive attitude and a great work ethic
• Be punctual
• Smart appearance as you will be representing the company (no Jeans etc.)
• Keep vehicle clean and to a good standard
• Good communication skills are essential for this position as you might be needed to be contactable throughout the shift

Salary:

• Nights per hour: £17.00 ph (PAYE), £20.00 ph (Umbrella)
• Saturdays per hour: £20.00 ph (PAYE), £22.50 ph (Umbrella)
• Sundays per hour: £22.00 ph (PAYE), £24.50 ph (Umbrella)
