Job summary

CTRG Limited in Peterborough is seeking an experienced HGV Class 1 driver to join our trunking and fridge operations. You will run chilled and frozen goods across shifts, with start times from early morning or early evening, and must be able to handball and manually unload where required.

Applicants should have a minimum of 12 months Class 1 driving experience, a valid UK C+E licence, DCPC card and digital tachograph, and a good understanding of drivers’ hours rules.

Qualifications

• 12 months HGV Class 1 driving experience
• Valid UK C+E (Class 1) Licence
• DCPC Qualification Card and Digital Tachograph
• Understanding of Driver’s Hours & Working Time Directive
• Ability to perform vehicle safety checks and report defects
• Strong communication skills and a flexible attitude

Responsibilities

• Trunking and fridge work across Peterborough area
• Trunking chilled and frozen goods using fridge trailers
• Handballing and manual unloading at delivery points
• Ensure timely and safe deliveries and maintain service standards
