Aligra Newbury is hiring a Class 1 driver to join a leading logistics provider based in central Newbury. You will operate nationwide collections/deliveries, handle trailer swaps, and use GPS/tachograph tech to keep routes compliant.

The role requires a valid UK C+E licence, 6–12 months HGV experience, a current CPC and Digital Tachograph card, and strong interpersonal skills to thrive in a fast-paced logistics environment.

Qualifications

• Valid UK Driving Licence with C+E entitlement.
• 6–12 months experience driving HGV C+E vehicles is essential.
• Current CPC card and Digital Tachograph card.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced logistics environment.

Responsibilities

• Execute nationwide collections/deliveries - trunking to the central Hub.
• Manage trailer swaps and oversee live loading/unloading to keep operations running smoothly.
• Use GPS and tachograph technology to plan routes and ensure 100% compliance.
• Maintain professional relationships with dispatchers and customers across the country.
• Conduct thorough vehicle inspections and prioritise safe driving at all times.
