Job summary

Constellation Cold Logistics UK is seeking an experienced Class 1 driver to join our busy transport department in Grimsby for a cold store operation. You will work 50 hours across 5 days within 7, with flexible start times to meet customer needs.

Responsibilities include complying with road haulage regulations, performing daily vehicle checks, maintaining load temperatures, and obtaining signed receipts on deliveries of pallets, while adhering to health and safety standards and company policies.

Qualifications

• Previous experience driving an HGV.
• Valid HGV licence.
• Driver CPC.
• Must be 25+ years old and have held a licence for a minimum of 2 years.
• Flexible and detail-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to statutory regulations governing road haulage.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and defect reporting.
• Keep vehicles clean (inside and out).
• Responsible for vehicles and loads.
• Check loading/unloading.
• Report problems with deliveries.
• Obtain signed receipts for deliveries and collections.
• Ensure load temperatures and conditions are maintained.
• Ensure receipt of good pallets or PCV at delivery.
• Carry out security checks and ensure vehicle and load security.
• Carry out other duties per Driver's Handbook.
• Comply with ISO9002, BS7750, Health & Safety and Training policies.
