Job summary

A leading transport recruiter in the UK is looking for qualified Class 1 HGV drivers for temporary positions in Neston. Opportunities include both day and night shifts, with competitive pay and the potential for a permanent role. Extensive training will be provided alongside an experienced driver.

Job description

Location:Neston - CH64
Pay: £16.21 (PAYE Accrued) - £18.16 per hour (PAYE Advanced Includes Holiday Pay)
Shifts: Days - Thursdays, Fridays & Saturdays, 0515 start time OR Nights - 4 on 2 off shift pattern, 1630 or 1900 start time

About the Role:

Are you a qualified Class 1 HGV driver looking for a temporary position? We've got great opportunities with our well-respected client in Neston, Wirral. The requirement is initially for a period of three months until the end of August but could be extended or lead to a permanent position.

Day Driver Position:

• Thursday, Friday & Saturday shift pattern


• Store deliveries (approx. 3 per day)


• All goods will be palletised and deliveries will be made using an electric pallet truck


• Friendly and efficient delivery routes

Night Driver Position:

• 4 on 2 off starting at 1630 or 1900


• Trunking between two sites with the occasional store drop


• Use of electric pump truck (full training will be provided)

Full training will be provided and during the training and induction period, you will work alongside an experienced driver who will show you their procedures.

Requirements:

• Cat CE Licence


• Valid CPC & Digi Card


• Minimum of 3 years Class 1 HGV experience


• No more than 6 points for minor offences


• Great customer service
