Job summary

A client based on Trafford Park is seeking an HGV Class 1 Driver for a night trunking team on a temporary ongoing basis with immediate starts available. Responsible for conducting deliveries and pick-ups, maintaining the vehicle, and adhering to transport regulations. Working hours are from 6:30pm to 6:30am, Monday to Friday, with possible weekend shifts. Interested candidates with the necessary qualifications are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid HGV C+E licence.
• Valid Driver CPC and DQC required.
• Conversational skills with customers essential.

Responsibilities

• Conduct and complete deliveries/pick ups as scheduled.
• Complete daily vehicle checks for road safety.
• Liaise consistently with the office team for status reports.

About the Job

Conduct and complete deliveries / pick ups as scheduled by Operations

Completing daily vehicle checks to ensure vehicle(s) road safety.

Consistently liaise with Office team to ensure daily and accurate status reports

Follow all company procedures, customer procedures and the Highway Code

Complete all deliveries and collections as manifested

Comply with all EU tachograph and WTD regulations

Maintain all health and safety standards

Ensure your vehicle is kept clean and tidy

Qualification and Skills

HGV C+E (Class 1) licence

Valid Driver CPC and DQC

Valid Digital Tachograph Card

Able to maintain conversation with Customers
