Job summary

Pertemps is recruiting for a Class 1 HGV Driver role based at East Midlands Gateway. The job involves trunking to other sites with no handball, offering long-term work and potential permanency for the right candidate.

Shifts include 4 on 4 off with day and night options. Night rates are £19.40/hour and day rates £16.95/hour, with overtime after 9.6 hours. A valid Class 1 licence, tacho and DQC card are required along with a positive can-do attitude.

Class 1 HGV Driver

Pertempshave an excellent opportunity for Class 1 HGV Drivers to work for our client based out of East Midlands Gateway. As a Class 1 HGV Driver you will undertake trunking work to other company sites, NDC's and RDC's.This is clean work with no handball and presents long term work for Class 1 HGV Drivers. There will be opportunities to be taken on permanent as well should that be a pathway you'd like to explore.

Shift Patterns / Working Hours Available:

• 4 on 4 off / Weekdays / Weeknights
• Guaranteed 9.6 hours per shift minimum pay with OT paid out after 9.6 hours each day.

The successful Class 1 Driver will:

• Have a valid Class 1 License for a minimum of 6 months
• Have a valid tacho and DQC card
• Have a positive can do attitude

Your duties as a Class 1 HGV Driver will include:

• Trunking goods around the UK - No handball
• Trailer swaps and backloads

You will receive:

• Nights - £19.40 per hour
• Nights OT after 9.6 hours daily - £29.10 per hour
• Days - £16.95 per hour
• Days OT after 9.6 hours daily - £25.43 per hour
