We are looking for Class HGV Drivers to start immediately for our growing client base across the IP postcode.

Responsibilities of the Class HGV Driver:

1. Safely operate HGV Class 1 vehicles, ensuring compliance with traffic laws and company policies.
2. Route planning: Determine efficient delivery routes considering traffic, road conditions, and schedules.
3. Loading and unloading: Oversee and assist with securing goods, ensuring proper fastening and balance.
4. Documentation: Maintain accurate delivery records, vehicle logs, and incident reports.
5. Collect raw materials from sawmills in box trailers.
6. Deliver animal bedding to farms using bulk trailers and curtain side trailers.
7. Spread shavings, sawdust, and straw in poultry sheds using skid steer bobcat (training provided).
8. Unload own vehicle with Moffett Fork Truck or Bobcat Skid steer (training provided).
9. Load own vehicles if requested (training provided).
10. Follow health and safety site rules at all locations.

What the successful Class HGV Driver will receive:

• Basic pay £15.77, paid monthly for 42.5 hours per week.
• Pay increase to £16.27 per hour once fully trained and independently spreading on farms.
• Overtime at 1.5x hourly rate after 42.5 hours/week.
• Night out subsistence allowance of £25.00 (tax-free) when overnight stays are required.
• 4 weeks holiday plus bank holidays (Pro-Rata).
• Uniform provided.
• Automatic enrollment in the Company Pension scheme (3% employer contribution, 5% employee contribution).
• Free tea and coffee at the workplace.
• Referral bonus for introducing new drivers.

Minimum requirements for the Class HGV Driver role:

• Class 1 HGV entitlement.
