Class 1 Drivers

Rapier Employment Ltd is hiring experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers

Location: Welham Green, Hertfordshire

Shift Patterns: Days and Nights, Flexible start times

Day Shift Rates:

• Basic: £20.66/hour
• Overtime: £27.89/hour
• Bank Holidays: £61.98/hour

Plus holiday pay

Night Shift Rates:

• Basic: £24.58/hour
• Overtime: £31.81/hour
• Bank Holidays: £61.98/hour

Plus holiday pay

Driver Requirements:

• Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) license held for at least 1 year
• Minimum 6 months of Class 1 driving experience
• CPC qualification and Digital Tachograph card
• Maximum 6 penalty points (no major endorsements)
• Understanding of Driver Hours, Regulations, and the Working Time Directive

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate Class 1 vehicles safely and professionally
• Ensure timely delivery and collections
• Conduct thorough vehicle checks (pre- and post-trip)
• Maintain accurate delivery records and logs
• Comply with all traffic laws and safety guidelines
• Load and unload using roller cages when required
