Cencora Alloga is recruiting a Class 1 HGV Driver/Shunter for our Derby distribution centre. The role offers a weekday pattern with 48 hours per week, starting between 12:00 and 16:00, Monday to Friday. You will deliver time-critical pharmaceutical products safely and maintain compliance.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence and CPC qualification.
• Digital tachograph card and solid understanding of driver hours regulations.
• Strong communication and customer service skills with a safety-focused approach.
• Experience with on-site shunting is desirable.
• Ability to deliver goods safely and on time and maintain compliance.

Responsibilities

• Deliver goods safely, efficiently, and on time.
• Carry out on-site shunting to support the distribution centre.
• Maintain communication with Transport Office and report issues promptly.
• Complete documentation including proof of delivery and returns.
• Conduct daily vehicle checks and keep vehicles roadworthy.
• Ensure loads are secured and compliant with laws.
• Adhere to road traffic regulations and company policies.
• Report incidents or safety concerns immediately.
• Maintain high safety, compliance and professionalism.
