Job summary

ManpowerGroup is recruiting reliable Class 1 Drivers to join one of the UK's recognised logistics and distribution organisations in Bristol. The role offers ongoing temporary work with various shifts and competitive pay.

You will safely operate Class 1 vehicles on planned routes between distribution centres, carry out daily checks, load and unload, complete delivery paperwork, and work with the wider operations team while complying with road transport legislation and safety policies.

Qualifications

• Valid UK C+E driving licence.
• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• No more than five penalty points and no serious driving endorsements.
• 2 years previous Class 1 driving experience within a logistics or distribution environment.
• Strong understanding of UK road transport legislation and vehicle safety.
• Excellent time management and organisational skills.
• Professional, reliable and customer-focused approach.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate Class 1 vehicle on planned routes between distribution centres and delivery locations.
• Transport mail, parcels and freight efficiently while meeting delivery schedules.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any defects in line with company procedures.
• Load and unload vehicles safely while ensuring the security of all goods.
• Complete delivery paperwork and electronic records accurately.
• Work independently while maintaining excellent communication with the wider operations team.
• Follow all road transport legislation, health and safety regulations and company policies.
