Job summary

Pertemps Black Country & Shropshire Drivers is seeking an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver for a West Bromwich role with Monday to Friday shifts and 6:00am starts. The position offers local, multi-drop work with 5–8 drops daily and a Driver's Mate provided, eliminating manual handball.

Valid UK Class 1 (Cat C+E) licence, CPC and Digital Tachograph are required, plus prior Class 1 driving and good customer service. Potential for permanent placement after temporary period.

Qualifications

• Full UK Class 1 (Cat C+E) licence is required.
• CPC and Digital Tachograph certification are required.
• Previous Class 1 driving experience is preferred.
• Multi-drop experience is advantageous.
• Good communication and customer service skills are essential.
• Reliable and professional approach is expected.

Responsibilities

• 6:00am starts.
• Local multi-drop deliveries.
• Approximately 5–8 drops per day.
• Working with a Driver's Mate; no handball required.
• Carrying out vehicle checks and completing paperwork correctly.
• Deliveries to customers safely and on time.
