Job summary

Pertemps Gloucester is seeking an experienced HGV Class 1 Driver for a frozen goods operation in Gloucester. The role offers day shifts, easy routes, and guaranteed hours with a minimum of 3 months' work.

You will drive modern C+E vehicles, complete vehicle checks, and deliver to regional centres with minimal physical workload. A valid HGV 1 licence, CPC, tachograph card, and good knowledge of drivers' hours are required.

Qualifications

• Full UK HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence and CPC card required.
• Digital Tachograph card and understanding of drivers' hours.
• Prior Class 1 driving experience preferred.
• Penalty points capped at 6 for minor endorsements.

Responsibilities

• Drive modern HGV Class 1 (C+E) vehicle delivering frozen goods to regional centres and customer locations.
• Complete daily vehicle checks and delivery paperwork.
• Maintain safety and professionalism at all times.
• Work day shifts with planned routes; 1–5 drops per shift.
• Minimal physical work involved and easy workload.

The Role

• Driving a modern HGV Class 1 (C+E) vehicle

• Typically 1 to 5 drops per shift
• Minimal physical work involved
• Easy workload with well-planned routes
• Completing vehicle checks and delivery paperwork
• Maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism

What We're Looking For

• Full UK HGV Class 1 (C+E) Licence
• Valid CPC Qualification Card
• Digital Tachograph Card
• Some previous Class 1 driving experience is required
• Good understanding of drivers' hours and working time regulations
• Reliable, punctual, and professional attitude
