Job summary

GXO Logistics, Inc. in Birmingham is hiring a HGV Class 1 Driver to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis. You will perform multi-drop deliveries to retail outlets and handle palletised goods, with a 45-hour week within an any-5-from-7 pattern.

Qualifications

• Experience driving Class 1 vehicles is essential.
• Full UK driving licence with category C+E entitlement.
• Valid Driver Qualification and Digital Tachograph Cards.
• No more than 6 current penalty points.
• DR, DG, DD, BA, CD, AC, LC or TT99 endorsements.

Responsibilities

• Carry out multidrop deliveries to retail spaces while collecting returns from stores in line with operational requirements.
• Handle both palletised goods and cages, ensuring safe and efficient loading and unloading procedures.
• Maintain clear communication with the Depot Transport Office regarding any issues and deliver exemplary customer service by always being polite and courteous.
• Operate company vehicles in a safe, legal, and efficient manner while ensuring required documents are completed accurately and on time.
