Job description

Location: Eastleigh SO50 6NZ

Shift Pattern: 45 hours per week

Salary: £37,983 - £40,323

Pay Rate: £15.95 (£19.81 Overtime) or Non-ADR £14.95 (£18.51 Overtime)

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 07:00 – 17:00

Additional Qualifications: ADR qualification preferred but not essential – fully funded training available

Role Overview:

The position of Class 1 Day Driver involves:

• Multi-drop deliveries and collections within set geographical areas
• Building and maintaining relationships with customers as the face of Freightroute
• Loading/unloading of vehicle, ensuring load security and proper fit
• Completing daily vehicle checks on your Company device
• Providing regular updates to the transport team to aid customer expectations management
• Maintaining high professional driving and legal standards

Role Requirements:

• UK Class 1 – Category CE Driving Licence
• Current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card
• Passion for providing excellent customer service
• Ability to work to deadlines
• Must be fit, flexible, and self-motivated due to role demands
