Job summary

JT Recruit is currently recruiting double deck trained HGV Class 1 Drivers for a client based in Eastwood. Roles start between 3am and 7am with shifts between 3:00 and 20:00 and 10–12 hour durations.

These trunking positions involve no multidrop, manual handball to load cages, and operate on a 7 days per week basis including weekends. Long-term ongoing work with modern vehicles and up-to-date technology.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence with CPC and tachograph card required.
• Up to 6 penalty points accepted.
• Good knowledge of transport legislation and tachographs.
• Reliable, punctual and dependable.
• Excellent customer facing skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate trunking runs with no multidrop.
• Adhere to shifts with early starts between 03:00–20:00.
• Work seven days a week including weekends.
• Utilise modern vehicles and technology.
• Manual handling of pallets (handball) to move cages.

About the role:

• Runs operate between 03.00 - 20.00 (start times to suit drivers prefferred time).
• Shifts length between 10 and 12 hours.
• Shifts run 7 days a week Including weekends.
• Using the latest technology with modern vehicles.
• Trunking work no multidrop.
• Handball you will need to be able to push cages down the trailer.
• Long term ongoing work.

Essential Ingredients:

• Full UK Licence, CPC & Tacho Card.
• Maximum 6 points for minor offences.
• A good knowledge of Transport Legislation and Tachographs.
• Excellent customer facing skills.
• A history of being reliable, punctual and dependable.

Rates of Pay:

• £15.63 Standard Days - £23.45 Day Overtime.
• £15.92 Standard Nights - £23.88 Night Overtime.
• £23.45 Saturday Day - £23.88 Saturday Night.
• £31.26 Sunday Day - £31.84 Sunday Night
• £40.64 Bank Holidays Days - £47.76 Bank Holiday Nights.
