Job summary

Palletforce Newbury site seeks an LGV Class 1 Driver for full-time duties. Deliveries to customers with emphasis on safety, compliance, and reliability on the road. You will operate a 1st-class driving service and manage handheld terminals while maintaining accurate records.

Ideal candidates have a Class 1 licence, CPC training, and strong geographical knowledge; refrigeration and multi-drop experience are a plus. Weekend work is required in peak periods.

Qualifications

• Class 1 driving licence held.
• Previous driving experience essential; refrigeration and multi-drop experience beneficial.
• CPC training completed and strong geographical/logistical knowledge.
• Good spoken and written communication.
• Ability to work weekends.

Responsibilities

• Various HGV driving duties, including daily checks to ensure vehicle is roadworthy and safe.
• Manage handheld terminals and record accurate information.
• Ensure all paperwork is completed accurately and returned to the Transport Office.
• Report delivery issues promptly to the Transport Office.
• Provide a professional driving service, meeting and exceeding customer expectations
• Adhere to health and safety standards at all times.
• May be required to drive 3.5t vehicles during peak periods.
• Able to work weekends.
