Job summary

Fox Resourcing & Recruitment is seeking an experienced Class 1 (C+E) Driver for a general haulage operation based in Rugby. You will deliver and collect loads across the UK, driving safely and professionally.

Responsibilities include performing vehicle safety checks, securing loads, completing delivery paperwork, and communicating with customers and planners. LTD or PAYE payroll options are available, with regular AM/PM shifts and overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

• Hold a valid Class 1 (C+E) licence.
• Have a valid Driver CPC.
• Hold a valid Digital Tachograph Card.
• Have previous HGV Class 1 experience, ideally within general haulage.
• Have a good understanding of drivers' hours and tachograph regulations.
• Reliable, punctual and professional.
• Safety-conscious with a good attitude to work.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Drive Class 1 (C+E) vehicles safely and professionally.
• Complete general haulage deliveries and collections.
• Carry out vehicle safety checks before and after shifts.
• Ensure loads are secured correctly.
• Complete delivery paperwork and electronic proof of delivery.
• Communicate professionally with customers and transport planners.
• Adhere to drivers' hours, tachograph and road safety regulations.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and presentation.
