Job summary

Royal Mail is seeking skilled HGV Class 1 drivers in Birmingham to support nationwide trunking. You will drive safely, complete vehicle checks, and represent Royal Mail with professionalism on every run.

We offer guaranteed minimum hours, weekly pay, holiday accrual and a pension (PAYE), plus onsite parking and canteen facilities at most depots. Shifts include morning, evening, and weekends, with opportunities to secure preferred shifts after assessment.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 1 / C+E licence (held for 1+ years).
• CPC and Digital Tachograph card valid and in date.
• 180+ days of Class 1 driving experience in the last 2 years.
• Max 6 points on licence.
• Able to pass vetting & DBS checks.

Responsibilities

• No handballing – organised, planned routes.
• Morning, evening and weekend shifts available.
• Complete vehicle checks and uphold top-tier safety.
• Follow scheduled routes with precision.
• Represent Royal Mail professionally on every run.
