Job summary

A major parcel delivery network in Wolverhampton is seeking experienced Class 1 drivers for ongoing temporary work. Candidates must be flexible with days and nights shifts, possessing at least 2 years of Class 1 driving experience and a clean driving record. Competitive pay rates starting at £19.98 per hour for days and £22.89 for nights, with increased rates during peak periods.

• No more than 3 points for Speeding convictions.
• Assessment and DBS check required.

Responsibilities

• Trunking between depots with cages.
• Unload cages and load them on occasion.
• Work flexible shifts including days and nights.

Overview

Driver Support Services has the opportunity of Class 1 work with our client in Wolverhampton for their peak period, who is a major parcel delivery network.

The work is Temp on-going.

Shifts and flexibility

Must be fully flexible as shifts are days and nights, weekday and weekend trunking work with cages. Flexibility will be required for shifts, as the more flexible you are with start times and days available to work the more shifts will be available for you.

Afternoon and Night shifts available now

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years experience in Class 1, need recent digi card history
• Infringements will be checked before assessment: more than 10 overall in 12 months, or more than 3 for rest or drivers hours you will not be able to assess.
• No more than 3 points for Speeding convictions only
• An assessment will be arranged and a DBS check is needed which will be arranged for you.
• Your shifts will be sent on an online platform called joined up.

Operations

The work is trunking depot to depot with cages; cages will need to be unloaded (loaded on occasion).

Pay and peak period

• Class 1 days 19.98ph - 21.52ph depending on start and finish times. Nights 22.89ph
• Rates will increase for Peak period 27th October till 11th January
