Job summary

GXO Logistics in Sherburn In Elmet (LS25 6PT) is seeking Class 1 Drivers to deliver to TJX stores using a fleet of Iveco tractor units and 18T rigs. Full training will be provided to develop your skills and confidence in all aspects of the role.

The role is full-time and permanent, contracted to 48 hours per week with shifts starting early mornings or afternoons. You will join a supportive team, benefit from generous leave and pensions, and gain access to GXO University for career progression.

Qualifications

• Full EU driving licence with category C+E entitlement.
• Driver CPC card (Driver Qualification) valid.
• Digital Tachograph Card held and valid.
• No more than 6 current penalty points.

Responsibilities

• Delivering to TJX stores on a variety of trailers ranging from 44Ft urban trailers using a fleet of Iveco CNG tractor units.
• Trailers preloaded by the warehouse team; driver will be allocated delivery details and keys by the transport administrator.
• Carry out daily walk around checks and highlight any defects to the Transport team.
• Follow the designated route using data driven technology to complete deliveries and collect returns before de-briefing at the depot.

Here at GXO Sherburn In Elmet (LS25 6PT) we're looking for Class 1 Drivers to join our team working on the TJX contract. As a Class 1 Driver, you'll be responsible for delivering goods to TJX customer stores using a combination of tractor units and 18T rigid vehicles. Whether you're experienced in this type of operation or looking to develop your skills, full training will be provided in all aspects of the role.

You’ll be working on a full-time, permanent basis, contracted to 48 hours per week, with the following shift options available:

• Sunday to Thursday - start times between 04:00 and 06:00
• Tuesday to Saturday - start times between 13:00 and 16:00

What you’ll do on a typical day:

• Delivering to TJX stores on a variety of trailers ranging from DD 44Ft urban trailers using a fleet of Iveco CNG tractor units
• Trailers will be preloaded by the warehouse team, driver will be allocated their delivery details and keys by the transport administrator
• Carry out daily walk around checks and highlight any defects immediately to the Transport team
• Using data driven technology, the driver will follow their designated route to complete the store delivery and collect any returns before returning to the depot to be de-briefed

What you need to succeed at GXO:

• A full EU driving licence with category C+E entitlement
• A valid Driver Qualification Card (Driver CPC)
• Be in possession of a valid Digital Tachograph Card
• No more than 6 current penalty points
• No DR, DG, DD, BA, CD, AC, LC or TT99 endorsements with a conviction date within the previous 5 years
