Job summary

People Solutions Group is seeking Class 1 Drivers for their client in Avonmouth, Bristol. This role offers excellent hourly pay rates, immediate starts, and opportunities for training and progression. Drivers will be responsible for deliveries, vehicle inspections, and maintaining communication with dispatch and customers. A valid UK Category CE Licence and experience with multi-drop deliveries are required.

People Solutions are currently recruiting for Class 1 Drivers to join our well-established client based in Avonmouth, Bristol.

This is a fantastic opportunity offering great rates of pay and room to grow and progress.

As a Class 1 Driver you will receive the following benefits:

Rates of Pay

• Basic: £19.33 per hour
• Overtime (Sixth working day): £28.99 per hour

Day to Day Duties

Your duties as a Class 1 Driver will involve but not be limited to:

• Store or warehouse deliveries - goods to be unloaded upon delivery
• Up to eight drops per day
• Operate and drive various Class 1 vehicles in a safe and efficient manner to and from delivery locations
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Ensure all cargo is loaded and secured properly
• Adhere to traffic laws and regulations
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers
• Report any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management
• Assist with loaded and unloading of cargo as needed

As a Class 1 Driver you will need to:

• Hold a valid UK Category CE Licence
• Have a minimum of six months experience driving CE vehicles
• No more than six penalty points for minor infringements and no major endorsement codes
• Have a valid UK CPC Card and UK Digi Card
• Must be able to speak and read a good level of English
• Punctuality and excellent time keeping skills
• Have a good understanding of traffic laws and regulations
• Experience driving any commercial vehicles
• Previous experience with multi drop deliveries

Training

• Driver's Assessment will have to be completed
• Industry related and training throughout
