Job description

We are currently looking to recruit for dedicated Class 1 Afternoon OR Night Drivers for a number of Temporary to Permanent roles in Stafford.

Role requirements of a Class 1 driver:

• Shift Patterns Available: 5On/3Off OR 4On/4Off
• Varied start times ranging from 12pm 11.59pm. A 3 hour start window is required and you will be kept on that 3 hour start pattern.
• Valid, in-date CPC and Tacho Card
• Minimum 2 years experience as a Class 1 Driver
• There may be nights out required on these shifts (this is not expected every week/shift) but any applicants who cannot do any nights out will unfortunately be rejected.

Pay Rates of a Class 1 driver:

• Days GBP15 to GBP16.81 per hour
• Nights- GBP16 to GBP17.93 per hour
• Saturdays- GBP19 to GBP21.29 per hour
• Sundays GBP20 to GBP22.41 per hour
• Night Out Allowance GBP24

Responsibilities of a Class 1 driver:

• Safely operate and work as a Class 1 driver to transport goods to various distribution centres
• Follow delivery schedules and routes efficiently
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries and vehicle maintenance
• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations during transportation
