About the role

We have exciting opportunities for RDC2 Haydock Class 1 Drivers, with roles including:

• 27-hour contracts for day shifts, with shifts on Monday, Friday, and Saturday, starting between 02:00-03:00 or 08:00-11:00.
• 27-hour contracts for night shifts, with shifts on Sunday, Thursday, and Friday, starting between 17:30-19:00 or 21:00-22:00.

Start times are flexible and to be agreed at interview. Day shifts include Saturday work (weekend premium), and night shifts include Sunday and/or Friday work (weekend and night premiums).

You will be responsible for

• Delivering palletised goods on time to branches and depots within the Booker network.
• Loading and tipping vehicles as necessary.
• Collecting backloads from third-party suppliers.
• Managing 1-2 runs per day, mostly single drops, with occasional second drops.
• Communicating effectively with site and external customers.
• Ensuring compliance with Drivers Hours and WTD regulations.
• Maintaining the fleet's cleanliness and reporting vehicle defects.

You will need

• LGV 1 Licence.
• Experience with digital tachographs.
• Geographical knowledge.
• Experience with curtain-sided trailers (training can be provided).
• Experience with refrigerated trailers (training can be provided).
• Driver CPC qualification; yearly ongoing DCPC training is provided.
• Newly qualified drivers will also be considered.
