Job summary

QS Recruitment Ltd in South Kirkby is seeking experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers for immediate starts. The role involves trunking to RDCs and NDCs nationwide, following planned routes, and delivering safely and on time.

Contract is full time, temp to perm, PAYE rates £18.00–£20.00 per hour (Mon-Fri, Sat, Sun), with 28 days holiday per year. Shifts typically 16:00–22:00, closing date 2026-11-20.

Responsibilities

• Trunking to RDCs and NDCs nationwide according to planned routes and schedules
• Carry out daily vehicle safety inspections and adhere to transport and health & safety regulations
• Complete delivery documentation accurately and interact professionally with customers
• Deliver exceptional service while representing the company to high standards

Job Description

Great Opportunity for HGV Class 1 Drivers in South Kirkby – Immediate Starts

Our client, based in South Kirkby, provide a host of national fulfilment, distribution and warehouse services and have in excess of 2 million square feet of prime modern warehousing facilities, supported by over 600 technologically advanced and well-maintained vehicles, and are now looking to add additional HGV Class 1 Drivers to their team.

As a HGV Class 1 Driver, you will be responsible for trunking to RDC’s and NDC’s nationwide working to planned routes and schedules, you’ll play a key role in ensuring deliveries are completed safely, efficiently, and on time.

Drivers can expect to complete between 2 and 4 runs per and will at times be responsible for the use of IST trailers, full training will be provided.

All drivers will be expected to carry out daily vehicle safety inspections, adhere to all transport and health & safety regulations, complete delivery documentation accurately, and maintain a professional and courteous approach when interacting with customers.

Duration: This is a full time temp to perm position

Contract Type: Permanent

Hourly Rate: Pay for thsi role is £18.00 per hour Monday to Friday, £19.00 per hour on Saturdays and £20.00 per hour Sundays.All of the above rates are PAYE with 28 days holday acrual each year

Working Hours: Working hours are Monday to Friday with starty times ranging between 1600 and 2200.

Experience & Qualifications
