HGV CLASS 1 DRIVER

FOUR DAYS ON FOUR DAYS OFF - ROTA PROVIDED

START TIMES: 05:00 – 08:00

£17.00 - £22.00 PER HOUR

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a Class 1 Driver to join our well-established client based in the Rugby area.

Rates of Pay:

• Monday to Friday: £17.00 per hour
• Saturday: £20.00 per hour
• Sunday: £22.00 per hour

Day to Day Duties

Your duties as a Class 1 Driver will involve but not limited to:

• Class 1 Trailer drop and swaps between depots
• Manual work involved due to Curtain side trailers & removing & placing safety bars
• Operate and drive various Class 1 vehicles in a safe and efficient manner to and from delivery locations
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Ensure all cargo is loaded and secured properly
• Adhere to traffic laws and regulations

Essential Skills

As a Class 1 Driver you will need to:

• Hold a valid UK Category CE Driving Licence
• Have a minimum of twelve months experience driving CE vehicles
• No more than six penalty points for minor infringements and no major endorsement codes
• Have a valid UK CPC Card and UK Digi Card
• Must be able to speak and read a good level of English

Desirable Experience

• Experience driving any commercial vehicles

Training

• Driving Assessment must be passed
• Training provided
