The Recruitment Crowd are recruiting on behalf of our client in Abergele for experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers (C+E). Shifts run Monday to Sunday, full-time or part-time with start times between 12:00 and 21:00.

Roles involve depot pulls, loading/unloading, and deliveries to hubs with an emphasis on safety and customer service. The position offers weekly pay, modern vehicles, and a supportive operations team.

Qualifikationen

• Full UK driving licence with Class 1 entitlement (C+E).
• At least 6 months proven experience driving the relevant vehicle.
• Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• No more than 6 penalty points on licence and no infringements for three consecutive months.
• Flexibility to work shifts across Monday to Sunday with start times 12:00–21:00.

Aufgaben

• Execute depot pull, fill trailer at depot and transport to hub.
• Take vehicle to customer to collect trailer, deliver to hub, and return to depot.
• Assist with loading/unloading at customer sites and depot.
• Perform drop and swap operations, sometimes tail lift or trailer swaps.
• Collaborate with team to ensure efficient operations and timely deliveries.
• Travel to local sites for tacho card download before candidate is put forward.
• Attend on-site induction for first shift.

The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client based in the Abergele area. We are looking for experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers (CAT C+E) to join the team.

Shifts

Shifts run across Monday to Sunday (full time or part time available or ad-hoc)

Hours : Start times any time between 12:00pm to 21:00pm (Flexibility for shift times required)

Pay Rate

• Midweek - £19.15 per hour
• Midweek overtime (after 8 hours) £27.25
• Saturday - £24.52 per hour
• Saturday overtime (after 8 hours) £27.25
• Sunday - £27.25 after
• Bank Holidays - £35.42

The role

• Execute depot pull, filling the back of a trailer at the depot and transporting it to a hub.
• Engage in customer work, taking the vehicle to a customer to collect a trailer, delivering it to a hub, and returning to the depot.
• Assist with loading and unloading at customer sites and in the depot
• Perform drop and swap operations, sometimes using a tail lift, and occasionally doing trailer swaps requiring uncoupling the vehicle.
• Collaborate with a team to ensure efficient operations and timely deliveries.
• Travel to local sites for a one-off download of the tacho card prior to being put forward for the position.
• Attend an on-site induction for the first shift.

Requirements

• Full UK driving licence with Class 1 entitlement (category C+E).
• Have at least 6 months of proven experience driving the relevant vehicle.
• Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
• Less than 12 infringement points in any one month and no infringement points for three consecutive months.
• Flexibility to work shifts across Monday to Sunday with start times from 12 pm - 9 pm (all paid at night rate).
• Ability to travel to local site for tacho card download prior to being put forward.
• Full understanding of WTD legislation.
• Excellent communication skills.
