Job summary

The Best Connection is currently recruiting a Class 1 Driver to join a busy client based in Usk. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced HGV driver seeking ongoing, full-time work with the potential to move into a permanent role after a successful temporary period.

You will play a key part in the transport operation, ensuring deliveries and collections are carried out safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1 (Category C+E) licence.
• Valid CPC and Digi Tacho card.
• Previous Class 1 driving experience preferred.
• Good knowledge of driver hours and regulations.
• Reliable, punctual, and professional.
• Good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Driving a Class 1 (Category C+E) vehicle.
• Completing deliveries and collections as required.
• Loading and unloading when necessary.
• Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting any issues.
• Ensuring all work is completed accurately and within set timeframes.
• Following all driving laws and working time regulations.
• Maintaining a professional approach when dealing with customers and sites.
