Day-to-Day Duties

Your responsibilities as a Class 1 Driver will include, but are not limited to:

• Operate and drive various Class 1 vehicles safely and efficiently to and from delivery locations
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Ensure cargo is loaded and secured properly
• Adhere to traffic laws and regulations
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers
• Report vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management
• Assist with loading and unloading cargo as needed
• Use of electric or manual pump truck
• Operate tail lift equipment
• Typically 2 trips per shift
• Approximately 7-8 deliveries or collections per shift

Candidate Requirements

• Hold a valid UK Category CE Licence
• Minimum of 24 months experience driving CE vehicles
• No more than six penalty points for minor infringements and no major endorsements
• Driven within the last 30 days
• Valid UK CPC and Digi Cards
• Proficient in English (reading and speaking)
• Punctual and reliable with excellent time management skills
• Good understanding of traffic laws and regulations
• Experience with commercial vehicles is beneficial
• Previous multi-drop experience is advantageous
